Senior Legal Counsel – Renewable Energy Projects. Our client is a leading renewable energy developer and investor with a diverse portfolio of projects. With an ambitious pipeline of developments and a commitment to accelerating Australia's energy transition, they are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join their high-performing team.

Base pay range

n

A$220,000.00/yr - A$280,000.00/yr

n

Responsibilities

n

n
- Lead and manage legal aspects of M&A; transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, and corporate structuring.
n
- Advise on property and land access arrangements, including leasing, easements, and landowner negotiations.
n
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts relevant to renewable energy development.
n
- Provide strategic legal advice on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
n
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including development, finance, and operations teams,



to support project delivery.
n
- Engage and manage external legal advisors where required.
n

Qualifications

n

n
- Qualified lawyer with 7+ years PQE (private practice and/or in-house).
n
- Strong background in corporate/M&A; law, ideally with exposure to infrastructure or energy projects.
n
- Experience in property law and land access matters.
n
- Commercially minded with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives.
n
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
n
- A genuine interest in the renewable energy sector and contributing to the energy transition.
n
