An established and growing boutique legal practice is seeking an experienced Office Manager to support the day-to-day operations of the firm and help strengthen its internal systems, compliance and team performance.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys creating structure, keeping people accountable and ensuring the business runs smoothly.

You will work closely with the Principal and legal team, with responsibility across practice operations, staff onboarding, compliance, reporting and general office management.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing the day-to-day operations of the office
- Coordinating the onboarding and offboarding of employees
- Maintaining employee records, compliance documentation and internal registers
- Monitoring mandatory training, licences and professional requirements
- Supporting the implementation and ongoing review of policies, procedures and internal systems
- Preparing regular staff sales, billing and performance reports
- Monitoring key targets and following up on outstanding information
- Supporting performance review and probation processes
- Coordinating team meetings, internal communications and administrative priorities
- Assisting with recruitment administration when required
- Working with external providers across IT, finance, HR and compliance
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems, efficiency and accountability across the practice

About you





You will ideally have:

- Previous experience as an Office Manager, Practice Manager, Operations Coordinator or senior administrator
- Experience within a legal, professional services or similarly regulated workplace
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Confidence preparing and interpreting staff performance and sales reports
- Experience managing onboarding, compliance records and internal processes
- The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
- Confidence following up with staff and holding people accountable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A practical, solutions‑focused approach
- The ability to work independently while supporting a busy team

Experience with legal practice management systems, billing processes or professional services reporting would be highly regarded.
