About the role
We are seeking an organised and proactive Administration Assistant to join our team at our Hamilton Bus Depot.
Reporting to the Finance & Administration Manager, you will support the administration of insurance claims, maintain records, assist with payroll and compliance activities, and provide general administrative support across the business.
This position is a 12-month fixed-term contract, providing parental leave cover.
Key responsibilities
Manage and administer insurance claims for employees, passengers and third parties
Liaise with insurance providers and internal teams including HR, Finance and Operations
Respond to insurance enquiries in a professional and timely manner
Assist with payroll as required
Maintain accurate records, files and SharePoint documentation
Ensure confidentiality of sensitive business information
Assist with audits, compliance checks, year-end processes and system improvements
About you
Minimum Certificate III in Business Administration, Business Services or a related discipline
A minimum of 3 years' experience in administration or office support
Insurance claims or case management experience (highly regarded)
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (essential)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
High attention to detail and accuracy
Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service and building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Robust written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professionalism, integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality
