Job Description

We are seeking a Site Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Merredin Solar Farm. Reporting to the O&M; Manager, the Site Lead will be responsible for ensuring the secure and efficient operation of the solar farm while maintaining optimal performance of all equipment.

Key Results Areas

- Promote the safety of people, Zero Harm
n
- Identify task hazards and assess task risks and implement strategies to control risks
n
- Plant and minimise LTI's and HEI's and environmental incidents
n
- Issue work permits and insure the people attending site are inducted
n
- Meet or exceed Operational Availability, 99%, of the MerredinSolar Farm
n
- Completing all inspection and testing work according to the required schedule
n
- Identifying any condition-based maintenance requirements, gain the required approvals, schedule and complete the work
n
- Work with other Risen Technical skills to ensure solar plant performance gaps are resolved as quickly as practical
n
- Manage the site budget and report emerging issues that will impact the delivery of the Budget commitment
n
- Ensure all work (labour and materials) is accounted for by the Services providers
n
- Check invoicing promptly and minimise work in progress
n
- Ensure tasks are scheduled, approved and carried out to meet or exceed Risen performance guarantee
n
- Manage the site spares inventory and ensure spares are replenished after use as quickly as possible
n
- Improve contract management processes and work quality to meet correct standards
n
- Monitor and control all resource requirements to meet workgroup business needs
n
- Identify skill gaps and recommend training or recruitment to ensure correct skills are available
n




- Contribute strongly to the development Risen
n
- Manage CMMS system to ensure jobs under your control are always in a known state
n
- Ability to prioritise, schedule, and logistically support multiple projects in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
n
- Able to create asset maintenance plans in CMMS
n
- Entry of OA requests in the procurement system, as well as tracking available funds in maintenance blanket purchase orders
n
- Scheduling preventive maintenance activities through a common, network-wide CMMS and may also help with floor activities as needed
n
- Providing training so each tech understands and is able to utilise the CMMS tool
n
- Interacting with other similar roles in the network to share best practices, lessons learned, and even plan and setup central network parts storage where value-added
n

Skills and Experience

n

n
- Electrician License holder, preferred to be a nominee on an electrician contractor's license
n
- HV switching qualifications and experience
n
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the solar or renewable energy industry
n
- Knowledge of solar plant operations, including inverters, transformers, and other electrical equipment
n
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and coordinate the work of others effectively
n
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
n
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and other plant control systems
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
n
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality
n
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred but not mandatory
