As an Accountant with Cutcher & Neale, you will work closely with senior team members and be supported by our generous study program as you grow into a Client Advisor.
n
What you'll do
n
n
- Prepare individual tax returns, including business schedules and advanced capital gains calculations.
n
- Prepare financial statements with complete reconciliations of all accounts.
n
- Handle various leasing arrangements, including accounting, taxation treatment, and associated schedules.
n
- Navigate GST and FBT tax systems, completing Activity Statements and FBT returns.
n
- Handle employee compliance frameworks,
including preparing payroll tax returns.
n
- Understand and manage state taxes such as Land Tax and Payroll Tax, including relevant forms and notices.
n
- Review and action ATO and compliance correspondence with minimal supervision.
n
- Communicate with clients to resolve basic queries and matters.
n
- Review information provided for tasks, creating handover notes for delegation as needed.
n
- Monitor WIP throughout job progress and ensure timely fee preparation.
n

What you'll bring
n
n
- 2+ years of experience in an Accounting firm.
n
- Progressing towards or completed a Bachelor of Commerce (or equivalent) or CA qualification.
n
- A passion for working collaboratively within a professional team.
n
- Strong ability to meet deadlines with exceptional attention to detail.
n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
