Acoem Australasia delivers environmental monitoring services across air, noise, vibration, water and emissions for major industries.
We looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead our NSW Field Services operations and play a key role in shaping how we deliver high-quality environmental monitoring services across the state.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will have real influence. You will lead skilled field teams, drive operational performance, strengthen customer relationships, and ensure our services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Reporting to the National Delivery Manager, this role offers the chance to take ownership of NSW operations, contribute to major projects, and be part of a team-oriented national leadership team.

What You Will Be Doing
Lead NSW Operations
- Oversee field service delivery across NSW, including installation, maintenance, and monitoring activities
- Take ownership of NSW Operations & Maintenance costs, driving efficiency and smart resource use
- Ensure work is planned, scheduled, and delivered to meet customer and contractual commitments
Inspire and Develop People
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Field Technicians and Supervisors
- Create a positive, engaged, and safety-first workplace culture
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and capability development across the branch
Deliver Safe, High-Quality Services
- Champion HSE, WHS, quality, and NATA compliance across all field activities
- Drive continuous improvement in service processes,
reporting, and data quality
- Maintain strong customer relationships through clear communication and professional service
Support Growth and Projects
- Contribute to the delivery of large-scale and strategic projects
- Support quoting, tenders, and key account management
- Work closely with Sales and Business Development to identify new opportunities
About You
You are a confident operational leader who enjoys being close to the action and leading from the front. You are comfortable balancing people leadership, operational delivery, and commercial outcomes.
You will bring:
- A degree or advanced diploma in a relevant field, or strong equivalent experience
- Proven experience leading operational or field-based teams
- Strong organisational, financial, and problem-solving skills
- A solid understanding of safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Explicit communication skills and the ability to build trust with customers and teams
- A practical, solutions-focused approach and the ability to manage competing priorities
