About the role
We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team in permanent part time and casual positions.
We’re looking for reliable, skilled support workers who are genuinely committed to the people they support and the work they do. You’ll bring a robust focus on active support, building independence and enabling participants to achieve their goals.
What you’ll be doing In this role, your focus will be on providing person-centred support that makes a real difference in daily life. This includes:
- Promoting independence, confidence, and skill-building through daily activities and community engagement
- Following individual support and health plans, including safe medication administration
- Assisting with personal care, mobility, and daily living tasks
- Maintaining accurate records and safeguarding participant wellbeing through confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Responding to behaviours of concern in line with support plans and positive behaviour strategies
- Contributing to a respectful, collaborative, and values-driven team culture
What you’ll bring To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- Experience providing person-centred support across personal care, daily living activities and community participation
- Ability to follow support plans and health care plans, and safely implement behaviour strategies
- Commitment to participant safety, dignity, and ethical practice in line with the NDIS Code of Conduct
- Strong documentation and system skills, ensuring accurate and timely records
- Knowledge of infection control, safe manual handling, and WHS responsibilities
- A demonstrated commitment to reliability, punctuality and consistent attendance, recognising the importance of continuity of support for participants
Desirable
- Certificate III (or higher) in Individual Support, Disability, or a related field
- Experience in Supported Independent Living (SIL) or similar environments
- Experience supporting participants with behaviours of concern
- Experience with complex health needs, including enteral feeding, dysphagia support, complex bowel/wound care, epilepsy, catheter care, and diabetes monitoring
Mandatory compliance requirements To be considered for interview, you must hold all of the following current documentation at the time of application:
- Australian Driver’s Licence
- National Criminal History Check
- NT Ochre Card (Working with Children Clearance)
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety and You' certificate of completion
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Influenza vaccination
- Full Australian working rights
