Casual Position | 4 hours per week | Greek-Speaking Preferred

$45–$50 per hour + Super

Prime Rehab is seeking a reliable, friendly and compassionate Disability Support Worker to support a man living with cerebral palsy in Thornbury.

This is an ongoing casual position for one shift per week on Friday mornings, with some flexibility around the exact hours. The role is focused primarily on supporting the participant with his weekly grocery shopping.

About the Role

You will provide one-on-one support to assist the participant with his weekly grocery shopping and community access.

Shift details:

- Friday mornings
- Approximately 9:30am–1:30pm
- 4 hours per week
- Some flexibility with start and finish times
- Thornbury location

Responsibilities include:
- Transport to and from local grocery shops
- Assisting with weekly grocery shopping
- Supporting the participant to make choices and participate as independently as possible
- Assistance with carrying and loading groceries where required
- Providing friendly social interaction and companionship during community access
- Supporting independence and active participation throughout the shift

About You

You are

- Friendly, patient and reliable
- Comfortable working independently
- A confident driver with a reliable vehicle




- Comfortable working with someone with a physical disability
- A positive communicator with a warm and positive attitude

A female support worker is preferred for this role and Greek-speaking applicants are particularly encouraged to apply.

Essential Requirements

- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Reliable vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Working rights in Australia

Desirable
- Experience supporting people with cerebral palsy, neurological conditions, disability, aged care or rehabilitation
- Greek language skills
- Qualifications or studies in Disability Support or Allied Health Assistance
