Workpower is looking for confident, creative and motivated Disability Support Workers to join our Employment and Programs team across the Perth metropolitan area.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with people, building connections with employers and finding practical, individualised pathways into employment.
? About Workpower
Workpower is a registered disability service provider operating in Perth and across regional Western Australia. We support people with disability to build skills, increase independence and pursue meaningful employment opportunities.
Our Employment and Programs team provides tailored support to help customers identify their strengths, explore career options and take practical steps towards achieving their employment goals.
? What You'll Be Doing
No two employment journeys are the same. You will work closely with customers to develop individualised and creative pathways towards employment.
Depending on each customer’s goals, you may:
- Support customers to identify their skills, strengths and employment interests
- Assist with creating resumes, cover letters and job applications
- Approach potential employers and build relationships with local businesses
- Identify suitable job opportunities, work experience placements and training options
- Provide on-the-job mentoring and workplace support
- Advocate for customers with employers, training providers and community organisations
- Help customers prepare for interviews and workplace expectations
- Develop practical strategies to overcome employment barriers
- Support customers to explore micro-enterprises,
self-employment or alternative employment pathways
- Complete documentation and contribute to planning each customer’s employment journey
- Track progress, outcomes and next steps in line with individual goals

- Are organised and confident completing documentation

- Can work independently while also contributing to a supportive team
- Are willing to travel up to 40 kilometres for work
Experience in the following areas would be highly regarded but is not essential:
- Sales or business development
- Disability Employment Services
- Recruitment or employment support
- Disability or community support work
- Career coaching, mentoring or training

- First Aid Certificate
- A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
