ROLE – Draftsperson

SALARY - $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, dependent on experience

TYPE – Permanent

LOCATION – Perth, WA

My client designs and manufactures bespoke equipment. They are looking for a Draftsperson to join their team in Perth on a permanent basis.

The Draftsperson will ideally have the following attributes:

- At least 2 years of experience in a similar Drafting / CAD position
- Relevant qualification in Engineering, Drafting or similar
- Proficient with 2D and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD or similar
- Experience producing detailed manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
- Solid attention to detail
- Good understanding of engineering drawings
- Ability to interpret engineering concepts and translate them into accurate drawings
- Experience maintaining drawing registers and document control systems
- Able to manage workload and meet deadlines




- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team

The Draftsperson role will involve:

- Creating 2D drawings and 3D models from engineering concepts
- Producing detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings
- Updating and revising existing drawings and documentation
- Working closely with engineers to support design development
- Liaising with manufacturing teams and external suppliers
- Ensuring drawings comply with relevant standards and specifications
- Maintaining accurate records of drawings and revisions
- Assisting with BOM creation and updates
- Checking drawings prior to release for accuracy and completeness
- Supporting projects across the full design lifecycle
