Role Overview:

n

We're seeking an experienced Scheme & Payments Product Manager to join a leading financial services organisation, supporting the ongoing success of its Cards & Payments business. You will focus on ensuring card products operate effectively by managing key payment partners, maintaining scheme compliance, and driving operational excellence across the payments ecosystem.

n

Working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting business-critical payment services, delivering operational improvements, and ensuring compliance with card scheme and regulatory requirements.

n

In this role you'll:

n

- Manage operational relationships with key payment partners and vendors
n
- Act as the subject matter expert for card issuing operations, payment processing, and card scheme requirements.
n
- Ensure ongoing scheme compliance with payment regulations, and operational standards.
n
- Monitor vendor performance, governance, service levels, and contractual obligations.
n
- Support the delivery of Cards & Payments initiatives, operational improvements,



and strategic projects.
n
- Investigate operational issues, coordinate resolutions, and drive continuous improvement across payment services.
n
- Work closely with business, technology, risk, compliance, and external partners to ensure seamless delivery of payment operations.
n

What we're looking for:

n

n
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Product, Product Operations, Cards, Payments role
n
- Strong understanding of card issuing, payment processing, authorisation, clearing, and settlement.
n
- Experience working with card schemes and payment processors (e.g. Fiserv or similar).
n
- Knowledge of scheme compliance, payment operations, and issuer processes.
n
- Experience managing third-party vendors, payment partners, and operational service delivery.
n
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
n
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational abilities.
n
