Ramsay Surgical Centre Charlestown is seeking an experienced and motivated Recovery Nurse to join our dynamic perioperative team.

The successful candidate will be a confident and capable nurse who can work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment. You will be adaptable, proactive and committed to delivering safe, high‑quality patient care throughout the recovery phase.

About the role

The Recovery Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive post‑anaesthetic care to patients undergoing day surgery and surgical procedures. The role requires strong clinical judgement, excellent communication skills and the ability to respond calmly and effectively in a rapid‑paced environment.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.

Demonstrated experience in a recovery, anaesthetic, perioperative or day surgery environment.

Strong clinical assessment and patient‑care skills.

The ability to work confidently and independently while contributing positively to a team.

Excellent communication, organisation and time‑management skills.

A flexible and adaptable approach to changing clinical and operational needs.

A strong commitment to patient safety, quality care and professional practice.

Additional experience in anaesthetic nursing or day surgery is highly desirable.
