This position is suited to drivers who are willing to work away from home. A typical roster may involve working in Jindabyne or other locations for 3–5 consecutive days, returning home between rosters, then heading away again as operational requirements dictate.

Cooma Coaches is a long-established and respected coach operator providing passenger transport services throughout the Snowy Mountains, Monaro, Hunter Region and across New South Wales.

We're currently looking for skilled Coach Drivers who enjoy travelling, take pride in customer service and are willing to work away from home on multi‑day coach operations.

Our operations include school services, charter operations, special events, multi‑day charters and seasonal snow transport, offering a balance of regular scheduled work and varied driving opportunities throughout the year.

Experienced coach drivers are highly regarded; however, we also welcome applications from experienced heavy vehicle drivers looking to transition into the passenger transport industry.

The Role

Our work offers a outstanding mix of driving opportunities. While some services, such as snow shuttles and contracted services, follow regular schedules, you’ll also have opportunities to undertake:

- School services.
- School excursions.
- Charter services.
- Corporate transfers.
- Special event transport.
- Multi‑day charters.
- Seasonal snow operations.

As part of the role, drivers may be required to:

- Work early morning, afternoon or evening shifts.




- Work weekends and public holidays as rostered.
- Stay away from home on overnight or multi‑day charter work.
- Travel throughout Sydney, the Hunter Region, the Snowy Mountains and other areas of New South Wales.
- Work across different types of passenger transport services throughout the year.

Training & Career Development

- Obtaining a NSW Driver Authority for experienced heavy vehicle drivers entering the passenger transport industry.
- Snow Driver Accreditation for experienced coach drivers looking to expand their qualifications and participate in our Snowy Mountains winter operations.





Essential Requirements

- Current MR, HR or HC Driver Licence.
- NSW Driver Authority, or willingness to obtain.
- Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain
- Ability to successfully complete a pre‑employment medical assessment.
- Ability to participate in Drug and Alcohol testing in accordance with company policy.
- Satisfactory driving history.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Skilled presentation.
- Unlimited Australian working rights.

Pay & Benefits

We recognise and reward professional drivers with competitive hourly rates overtime opportunities, meal allowances and ongoing professional development.

Current hourly rates range from approximately $38 to over $81 per hour, depending on employment status, penalties and hours worked, plus applicable allowances.
