Overview
n
Youth Worker – Several Vacancies at MacKillop Family Services in Geelong, VIC, AU. This full-time on-site position offers career growth with an immediate start chance in residential care.
n
Responsibilities
n
n
- Provide safe, supportive accommodation for young people within our Out-of-Home Care programs.
n
- Help young people build life skills and confidence and support their wellbeing.
n
- Deliver care in a residential and therapeutic setting for children with complex needs.
n
- Collaborate with the Residential House Supervisor and the broader team to maintain a safe and positive living environment.
n
n
Key Selection Criteria / Qualifications
n
n
- A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention; or a Diploma of Community Services, Social Work, or another related tertiary qualification (or be encouraged to apply if you hold a similar qualification).
n
- A genuine interest in young people and their wellbeing; demonstrated empathy and nonjudgmental approach.
n
- Ability to regulate emotions and set consistent boundaries to provide safety and stability.
n
n
Requirements
n
n
- Valid and current Driver's Licence.
n
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid by MacKillop).
n
- First Aid Certificate with a minimum 6 months validity.
n
- Valid Employee Working with Children Check.
n
- Valid and current NDIS Worker Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles).
n
n
