We’re looking for a couple of great people to join our small team at Federation Chocolate and Every Man and His Dog Vineyard in Richmond.

This is a diverse, hands‑on hospitality role, primarily looking after our guests in our cafe.

We’re a small family business, so attitude, reliability and fitting into our team are really important to us. We’re looking for people who are happy to pitch in, can work confidently without constant supervision and are flexible enough to help wherever they’re needed.

What you'll be doing

- Welcoming and looking after our guests
- Taking orders and serving food, wine, coffee and chocolate
- Clearing, cleaning and resetting tables
- Washing dishes and glassware
- Preparing simple food, pizzas and platters
- Keeping our cafe, cellar door and guest areas clean and presentable
- Retail sales
- Assisting with wine and chocolate tastings
- Occasionally helping package and label chocolate
- Pitching in with whatever needs doing to keep things running smoothly

The person we're looking for

We’re looking for someone who:

- Is friendly, positive and genuinely enjoys looking after people
- Is reliable and turns up ready to work
- Works well as part of a small team
- Can work independently and unsupervised
- Can see what needs doing and gets on with it
- Is flexible and comfortable moving between different tasks
- Is happy to clean,



clear tables and wash up as part of the job
- Takes pride in keeping things clean and well presented
- Remains calm and helpful when things get busy
- Is willing to learn about our wine and chocolate
- Previous hospitality experience is an advantage, but we're more interested in finding the right people who will become a great part of our team.

Regular weekend availability is important, and some public holiday work will be required.

A current Tasmanian RSA is required for serving alcohol.

Federation Chocolate and Every Man and His Dog Vineyard are family-owned businesses operating together from our vineyard and chocolate factory in Richmond.

We make our own bean-to-bar chocolate, grow and make our own wine, serve food and run chocolate and wine experiences for visitors from Tasmania and around the world.

Because we’re a small team, there’s plenty of variety. One moment you might be serving guests, the next making a coffee, clearing tables, helping in the cellar door or packing chocolate.
