We have an opportunity for a Senior Advisors to join our Operations Support team within National Service Delivery (NSD).

n
We have an opportunity for a Senior Advisors to join our Operations Support team within National Service Delivery (NSD). You will join a fast-paced team that is responsible for supporting the frontline to deliver essential Ministry of Justice services. No two days will be the same, with a mix of business-as-usual service improvements, urgent tasks, along with involvement in exciting and innovative programmes of work.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Excellent stakeholder management skills - able to prioritise requests across functions which involves navigating and influencing a wide range of stakeholder relationships.
n
- Effective delivery of projects, including the ability to define a business problem, plan, and deliver an effective solution, often in a time-pressured environment.
n
- Provide timely and expert advice on proposed legislative changes and the expected operational impacts on behalf of all NSD business units.
n
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with NSD leadership team, OSD business groups, Office of the Chief Operating Officer, and other groups across the Ministry (e.g. Policy Group).
n
- Collaborate on high-quality briefing papers and memorandums for senior leadership and Ministers to support decision-making.
n
- Support a busy and fast-paced legislative work programme, which may include supporting or leading implementation projects to ensure timely and effective delivery of the government's law and order initiatives.
n
- Provide peer-to-peer support and mentoring to other team members
n
n

The successful applicant will be agile, solution-focussed, and able to think strategically, while also considering impacts on participants,
kaimahi and key stakeholders for all National Service Delivery business units.
n
To Be Successful In This Role You Will Have
n
n
- proven experience being adaptable in a fast-paced environment and thrive in situations of ambiguity
n
- ability to read, understand, and interpret complex documents, including legislation, financial, numerical and business information
n
- ability to self-manage and self-prioritise a busy workload and work effectively to meet agreed deadlines
n
- excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in qualitative and quantitative analysisexcellent stakeholder management skills
n
- understand and meet our customers' and the public's expectations
n
- experience delivering projects or significant pieces of work
n
- strong understanding of the machinery of government
n
- an understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural issues and concerns, knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture
n

Utu ā-tau/Salary
n
The appointing salary for this role will be between $99,208 and $135,539 based on skills and experience.
