An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Principal Software Developer to join a large Queensland Government technology team responsible for developing and supporting enterprise applications used across a large Queensland Government technology environment.

n

Working within the Network Development team, you'll help deliver new features and enhancements to enterprise applications while contributing to the ongoing support of critical systems used across multiple government agencies.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Design, develop and implement enterprise software solutions
n
- Build current features for business critical web applications
n
- Develop REST APIs and backend services
n
- Set development standards and participate in design and code reviews
n
- Provide Tier 3 application support for Linux based applications
n




- Contribute across the full software development lifecycle
n
- Support continuous improvement of development practices and application quality
n

n

Required Experience

n

n
- Strong commercial experience with Python
n
- REST API and Web Services development
n
- Docker
n
- PostgreSQL or SQL databases
n
- Git and Bitbucket
n
- Jira and Confluence
n
- Full SDLC experience
n
- Experience delivering enterprise applications within large, complex environments
n

Nice to Have

- Jenkins
n
- Ansible
n
- Queensland Government or other large enterprise experience
n
- Experience supporting highly available or mission critical systems
n
