Job Description

As a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing support to participants, carers and families in the following ways.
n
n
- Evaluating, developing & delivering evidence‐based support plans
n
- Creating meaningful goals using a positive behaviour support framework
n
- Building capacity in the people who support our participants, families, carers, friends, support workers
n
- Working alongside a brilliant multidisciplinary team
n
- Championing the reduction (and elimination!) of restrictive practices
n
n

This is NOT a stepping stone to becoming a psychologist.
n
It's a meaningful, legitimate, highly skilled career all on its own.

About You
n
You'll thrive with us if you:
n
n
- Have a degree in OT, Speech Pathology, Psychology, Social Work or similar
n
- Live within a 20 minute radius of either Melton
n
- Have experience reading or creating, implementing or reviewing behaviour support plans
n
- Have a genuine passion for disability support
n
- Have experience working with challenging behaviours
n
- Love working with humans AND are competent with writing reports (Yes, there will be paperwork)
n
n
