BASC & VAC Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Educational Leader to join our supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role where you'll guide practice, inspire educators, and champion high-quality programs that nurture every child's wellbeing, growth, and sense of belonging.
About the Role
As the Educational Leader, you will play a central role in creating a safe, inclusive and engaging setting for children. You'll lead by example, mentor educators, and ensure our programs reflect best practice, regulatory requirements, and the values of Tara Anglican School for Girls.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, values reflective, practice, and is committed to continuous improvement in Out of School Hours Care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and evaluation of high-quality educational programs aligned with approved learning frameworks.
- Support and mentor educators to strengthen practice, reflective thinking and program documentation.
- Ensure children's safety, wellbeing, inclusion and active participation in all aspects of the program.
- Oversee planning that reflects children's interests, ideas and emerging skills.
- Maintain compliance with National Law, Regulations, School policies and child protection requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, Assessment and Rating preparation, and tear collaboration.
- Cover the Responsible Person's duties during any periods of absence
- Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues,
ensuring clear and respectful communication.
- Support the Director with the day-to-day running of the service
- Assist with staff supervision, rostering, ratios and attendance
- Support parent communication
- Incident management
- General administration
Skills & Qualifications
- Certificate Ill or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent) – highly desirable
- Robust understanding of the National Quality Framework and My Time, Our Place
- Current Working with Children Check and First Aid certification
- Ability to lead, mentor and support a team
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Commitment to child safety, wellbeing and inclusive practice
