PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Responsible for undertaking installation, inspection, maintenance and repair activities on network systems throughout the Northern
Territory, as required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The “WHAT” to be delivered
- Undertake construction, inspection, repair and maintenance activities of electrical distribution and transmission assets.
- Utilise and participate in business systems supporting maintenance, procurement, customer service and network performance.
- Participate in system operational work including field switching.
- Communicate effectively with workmates, supervisors and the general public and establish effective working relationships.
- Participate in training activities to meet organisational requirements.
- Ability to undertake works in regions outside Darwin as may be reasonably required and directed.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Qualification and Skills Experience
Essential • AQF Certificate III in ESI Distribution or • A proven track record with Safety and
Equivalent or ability to achieve through a reliability relevant qualification gap analysis process • Experience in distribution network systems
- C grade vehicle licence • Demonstrated knowledge of overhead
- EWP Licence distribution systems and networks
• White card or equivalent “Construction • Demonstrated and developed experience with induction Card” engaging customers and stakeholders
- Current NT Electrical Licence or ability to
obtain.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Desirable • XLPE Cable Jointing recognised qualification • Experience in testing services and system
- Live Line Transmission Hot Stick and Barehand earthing.
qualifications • Maintenance on Transmission network up to
- EFM Electrical Fitter Mechanic 66kV/132kV.
• C2 Crane • HV/LV cable jointing construction and
- HR, HC or MC Truck licence maintenance.
• Distribution HV Operator Qualifications • Bore/Install pole for distribution network
- Current Live Line Glove and Barrier and or Hot system.
Stick up to and including 22kv. • Experience in leading field teams.
- Dogging / Basic Rigging qualifications
