Electrical Engineering Expert (AI Training)
About The Role
We're partnering with the world's leading AI research labs to make AI smarter — and we need real electrical engineers to do it. As an Electrical Engineering Expert, you'll stress-test advanced AI models on complex technical problems, expose gaps in their reasoning, and help build the next generation of engineering-capable AI.
This is a fully remote, versatile contract role — work on your own schedule, anywhere in the world.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Design Challenging Problems —
- Create advanced electrical engineering problems spanning circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, electromagnetics, and control systems to probe the limits of AI performance
- Author Gold-Standard Solutions —
- Write rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as the benchmark for AI learning and evaluation
- Audit AI Outputs —
- Review AI-generated code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for correctness, safety, and compliance with engineering standards (IEEE, NEC, etc.)
- Sharpen AI Reasoning —
- Identify flawed logic in AI responses and provide structured, actionable feedback to improve how models think through engineering challenges
- Cover Cutting-Edge Domains —
- Work across embedded systems, VLSI, telecommunications, power electronics, robotics, and engineering simulations
Who You Are
- Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
- Deep knowledge in one or more core EE domains: VLSI, control systems, signal processing, power electronics, or telecommunications
- Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and precisely in writing
- Exceptionally detail-oriented — you spot errors in equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation others miss
- No prior AI experience required — your engineering expertise is what matters
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, technical content creation, or evaluation systems
- Familiarity with simulation tools (MATLAB, SPICE, etc.)
- Background in academic or applied research
Why Join Us
- Work on genuinely cutting-edge AI projects alongside top research labs
- Fully remote and async — work when and where you choose
- Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
- Get rare, inside exposure to how large language models are trained and improved
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
