We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join a well-established, growing consultancy within the Data Centre and Mission Critical sector in Melbourne, VIC. This is a permanent chance to be part of a high-performing team delivering complex, large-scale projects across Australia and internationally.
This role offers a strong pathway into the data centre space for experienced electrical design engineers, with structured support and mentorship provided for those transitioning from adjacent sectors.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and delivery of electrical systems across data centre and critical infrastructure projects
- Produce detailed electrical engineering designs including schematics, layouts and calculations
- Assist with power system studies including fault level, protection and discrimination analysis
- Develop technical specifications, reports and supporting documentation
- Carry out site inspections and surveys to support design development
- Coordinate designs with internal disciplines and external stakeholders
- Work closely with senior engineers,
BIM technicians, and project teams across delivery
- Participate in client meetings and provide technical input where required
- Collaborate with both local and international teams on multidisciplinary projects
- Assist in identifying and resolving technical challenges throughout the design lifecycle
Required Experience
- Strong electrical design background within building services, mission critical or complex infrastructure projects
- Experience delivering projects across concept through to detailed design
- Capability across electrical design documentation, calculations and reporting
- Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Exposure to client-facing environments and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to manage design packages and support project delivery across multiple projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
