About the role

We have exciting opportunities for experienced Electrical Tradespeople to join our Maintenance teams at Queensland Alumina Limited (QAL). If you enjoy tackling complex challenges and are passionate about safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement, this is a excellent time to join our business.

As a valued member of the QAL team, you will play a key role in supporting our Safe, Stable and Sustainable vision by:

- Performing all work in accordance with site health, environmental and community policies, systems and procedures

- Undertaking planned and reactive maintenance across a diverse range of Electrical and Instrumentation equipment, including high-voltage repairs

- Diagnosing faults and recommending effective, long-term repair solutions

- Developing and troubleshooting sophisticated PLC motor control systems for wharf machines and conveyor systems

- Completing installation and maintenance activities for Hazardous Areas and Gas Systems

- Improving plant reliability by identifying and eliminating equipment failures, while actively contributing to a strong site safety culture

About you To be considered for this role, you will ideally demonstrate:

- Strong commitment to safe work practices, both independently and within a team

- Current Queensland Electrical Licence (Cert III Instrumentation highly regarded)

- Experience in fixed-plant maintenance environments

- Active involvement in safety systems and site programs





- Sound decision-making to maintain plant integrity

- Proven ability to plan, organise, and complete work efficiently

- Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to a team

- Commitment to continuous improvement and identifying efficiency or cost-saving opportunities
