Role Description This full-time Electrician role is a hybrid position based in the Greater Brisbane Area, with a mix of on-site work and some work from home for planning, reporting, and coordination tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing electrical installations, upgrades, and repairs across commercial, industrial, and property sites, including switchboards, emergency and security lighting, power systems, and cabling. The role involves diagnosing electrical faults, responding to breakdowns and power outages, carrying out preventative and predictive maintenance such as test and tag, RCD testing, and thermography, and supporting telecommunications and reticulation projects.

The Electrician will interpret plans and specifications, ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations,



maintain accurate job documentation, and communicate clearly with clients, supervisors, and other trades.

The position also requires participation in emergency call-out work as needed and adherence to company quality, safety, and customer service expectations.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong practical skills in Electricity and Electrical Work, including safe handling of electrical systems and components.
- Candidates should possess skills in Maintenance & Repair, including routine servicing, fault rectification, and equipment replacement.
- Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting, including fault diagnosis, problem-solving under time pressure, and systematic testing.
- Candidates should possess knowledge related to Electrical Engineering, such as understanding electrical circuits, loads, cabling, and compliance requirements.
- Current Electrical trade qualification and valid electrician licence in Australia.
- Demonstrated experience in commercial, industrial, or property and facilities electrical work, including emergency and exit lighting, switchboards, and cabling.
- Solid understanding of Australian electrical standards, WHS regulations, and safe work practices, including lockout/tagout procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and technical documentation, and to complete clear job reports and maintenance records.
- Solid communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently on-site and collaborate with project managers and other trades.
