An exciting opportunity is available for experienced Electricians and Electrical Trade Assistants to join an established Australian electrical manufacturer based in Hemmant.
This is a workshop-based role working on the assembly and wiring of switchboards, MCCs and control panels. With a strong pipeline of work, this is a great opportunity for Electricians and Trade Assistants looking for consistent hours and a genuine temp-to-permanent position.
Duties
- Assemble and wire switchboards, MCCs and control panels
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Complete cable preparation, glanding, terminations and component fit-off
- Assist with testing, fault finding and QA checks
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organised and protected workshop
Skills & Experience
Electricians:
- Current QLD Electrical Licence
- Switchboard, MCC or control panel experience highly regarded
- Strong schematic and drawing interpretation skills
- Experience with control wiring, PLCs or VSDs advantageous
Electrical Trade Assistants:
- Previous electrical workshop or TA experience preferred
- Confident using hand and power tools
- Ability to follow electrical drawings and instructions
- Reliable, safety-focused and willing to learn
Benefits
- Electricians: $57.23/hr + penalties
- Electrical Trade Assistants: $45.63/hr + penalties
- Up to 55 hours a week in peak periods
- 6:00am starts
- Consistent overtime available
