Goodman owns and manages one of Australia's largest commercial rooftop solar portfolios, with more than 400 solar installations across a substantial national property portfolio. As our renewable energy platform continues to mature, we're looking for an Energy Manager to help drive the operational performance, compliance and future optimisation of these assets.

This role is ideal for someone wanting to move from a contractor, consultancy, retailer or service provider environment into an owner-side position where they can influence strategy while managing a large and diverse energy portfolio.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Energy, you will be responsible for the ongoing operation and performance of Goodman Australia's energy assets, including solar PV, battery energy storage systems, EV charging infrastructure and utility metering.

While new energy projects remain part of the role, the primary focus is operational excellence. You'll take ownership of the day-to-day management of the portfolio, working with service providers, retailers, property teams and customers to ensure assets perform safely, efficiently and compliantly.

You'll become the business's energy subject matter expert, helping internal stakeholders understand performance data, identify opportunities and make informed commercial decisions.

What You'll Be Doing

- Manage the operation and performance of solar PV, BESS, EV charging and metering assets across the Australian portfolio.
- Oversee maintenance providers, service agreements and asset performance.
- Support energy procurement activities and retailer engagement.
- Manage solar registrations and renewable energy certificate requirements.
- Analyse energy and environmental data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
- Deliver reporting,



dashboards and insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Provide advice to Property and Development teams on customer energy opportunities.
- Support sustainability reporting, assurance processes and compliance obligations.
- Investigate operational incidents, performance issues and emerging risks.
- Contribute to future initiatives including battery storage, customer energy solutions and microgrid opportunities.

What We're Looking For
- Experience managing operational renewable energy or utility assets across multiple sites.
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems and energy management principles.
- Experience working with energy retailers, metering providers and utility data.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex datasets and translate findings into practical recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and commercial acumen.
- Knowledge of renewable energy, compliance and reporting frameworks.
- A degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
