We're looking for an experienced Production Area Manager to join our Sydney Operations team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll inspire teams, drive continuous improvement, and play a key role in delivering operational performance in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment.

About the Role

n

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead a medium-sized production team, ensuring daily production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You'll coach and develop Team Leaders, champion a positive safety culture, and work collaboratively across Planning, Maintenance, Quality, Logistics and People & Capability.

What You'll Be Responsible For

n

n
- Leading, coaching and developing Team Leaders and production teams
n
- Delivering production schedules while achieving Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC) KPIs
n
- Driving operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
n
- Championing food safety, GMP,



HACCP and quality compliance
n
- Creating a positive, engaged and high-performing team culture
n
- Managing labour planning, productivity and operational efficiencies
n
- Leading safety initiatives and supporting our Zero Harm culture
n
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes and customer outcomes
n
- Supporting new product introductions, automation and continuous improvement projects
n

About You

n

n
- Leadership experience within FMCG manufacturing or a similar production environment
n
- Strong people management and coaching skills
n
- Experience managing production KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives
n
- Sound knowledge of Food Safety, GMP, HACCP and Workplace Health & Safety
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
n
- Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing principles (highly regarded)
n
- The flexibility to support operations across varying shifts when required
n
