About the Role
n
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time while supporting financial reporting, compliance and organisational decision-making.
n
This is a varied, hands-on role that will suit someone who enjoys working autonomously, has exceptional attention to detail and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
n

- End-to-end fortnightly payroll processing
n
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable
n
- Bank, credit card and balance sheet reconciliations
n
- General ledger maintenance, journals, accruals and prepayments
n
- Month-end processing and financial reporting
n
- Preparation of BAS and statutory reporting
n
- Payroll compliance, superannuation and award interpretation
n
- Fixed asset register maintenance
n
- Supporting annual budgeting and forecasting
n
- Audit preparation and external audit support
n
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance systems and processes
n
- Providing responsive finance support to internal stakeholders
n
n
About You
n
You are an organised and proactive finance professional who enjoys taking ownership of your work and building positive relationships across an organisation.
n
You'll ideally bring:
n
n
- Qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Bookkeeping (or equivalent experience)
n
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a finance,
bookkeeping or payroll position
n
- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end payroll
n
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger processes
n
- Experience completing reconciliations, journals and month-end reporting
n
- Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
n
- The ability to prioritise competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy
n
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills
n
n
Highly Regarded
n
n
- MYOB Accounting and Payroll experience
n
- Experience within the not-for-profit sector
n
- BAS preparation and statutory reporting
n
- Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards
n
- Experience supporting external audits
n
- Experience improving finance systems and business processes
n
