North Eastern Community Hospital (NECH) is seeking Enrolled Nurses to join our Care Awaiting Placement ward on a permanent part time basis. This is a great opportunity for an EN who enjoys providing person-centred care while continuing to use and develop their clinical skills in a hospital environment.

Our patients are transitioning to permanent placement or other care pathways and may have complex and ongoing clinical needs.

There is also the opportunity to pick up shifts on our acute medical/surgical ward, providing variety and exposure to different clinical environments.

About the role

Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care while contributing to the overall care journey of our patients.

Your responsibilities will include

- Delivering safe, person-centred nursing care
- Contributing to patient assessment, care planning and evaluation
- Monitoring patients and escalating changes in condition appropriately
- Administering medications safely within your scope of practice
- Providing education, reassurance and support to patients and families
- Supporting patients through transitions in their care and discharge planning
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation
- Working collaboratively with RNs, Allied Health, care workers and students
- Supporting junior colleagues and contributing to a positive ward culture

About you

We are looking for an EN who is clinically capable, compassionate and enjoys working as part of a team.





You will have

- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
- Medication administration qualification
- Ability to administer medications safely and in accordance with legislation and hospital policy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to evidence-based, person-centred care
- Ability to work confidently within a multidisciplinary team
- Adaptability and willingness to work across different clinical environments

Experience in aged care, subacute, rehabilitation or acute hospital settings will be highly regarded.
