About Emerge

When founded in 2010 the directors wanted to provide clients with ‘tier #1’ service but offer greater value through a nimble, client focused and easy to deal with model. They believed integrating environment and landscape disciplines with an employee-owned business model could achieve this goal. This vision has contributed to Emerge becoming one of Australia’s most successful and awarded consultancies, with over 70 staff in offices in Perth, Margaret River and Melbourne.

Our teams cover Environmental Planning and Management,

Hydrology, Contaminated Land, Ecology, Sustainability, and Landscape Architecture. We are passionate about creating authentic places, protecting, improving and managing sensitive environments and fostering thriving natural ecosystems, cities and communities.

We now enjoy the confidence of many ‘top tier’ clients because we are committed to solutions that deliver great outcomes. We do this through the application of creative thinking, robust science, practical solutions and effective communications. We think deeply about problems and lead and influence the direction of policy through our work. Our culture, clients and technical focus allows us to attract, retain and reward the best staff in the industry.

What makes Emerge special?

Emerge Associates is a dedicated, multidisciplinary environmental consulting firm. We bring together specialists across environmental planning, contaminated land, ecology, environmental approvals, landscape architecture, bushfire management, spatial services and related disciplines to provide integrated, practical solutions for our clients.

Our people and culture are what make Emerge special. We are the right size for everyone to be known, supported and recognised as an important part of the team. Our employee-owners are actively involved in the business and work alongside colleagues and clients on projects every day. This creates a genuine sense of shared responsibility, collaboration and pride in the work we deliver.

We have great clients, offices, systems and equipment, often the envy of larger firms, without the impersonal or highly layered structure that can come with a large organisation. At the same time, we are sufficiently established and well-resourced that no one feels isolated, boxed in or unsupported.

Our flat structure, multiple offices, diverse practice areas, varied clients and broad project portfolio provide excellent opportunities to develop your skills and take on new challenges. Working in a multidisciplinary environment also means you will have the opportunity to learn from specialists in other fields and contribute to integrated outcomes that extend beyond a single technical discipline.

We trust our people to make autonomous decisions and take ownership of their work. This empowers employees to use their judgement, build confidence and develop professionally. In turn, our clients value and respect the practical advice, technical expertise and personal accountability that Emerge brings to every project.

At Emerge, you will have the benefits of working in a close-knit and supportive team, together with the professional opportunities, technical diversity and resources of a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy.
