The Role & Business

Working as an Estimator for a Tier 3 Builder / Developer, you will be reporting to an experienced Director. You will have the opportunity to go into Estimating Management if you perform and make the position your own as the business grows. You will have the drive and ambition to help grow a business and reap the rewards of that through bonuses and future profit share.





The Builder are a well recognised and respected within their project range of $500k - $15M and are growing across Fit-Out, Refurb and New Build projects. They pride themselves on team harmony, a strong culture and recognise people want to enjoy where they work and they are happy to facilitate as they feel this results in a productive workforce. The business hire on personality with the intention of investing heavily in training and mentoring so you can grow with the business long term - they are not a project to project company when it comes to hiring staff.

You will be working on a range of commercial projects within Sydney and enjoy pricing a variety of work. In this position as a stand alone Estimator, you will play a key part in tendering and bid preparation on a variety of projects with the support of the management team. You will also enjoy the challenge of helping grow the business, but you will not be required to be involved in Business Development to bring tenders in:

Your key duties and skills required for the job will include:

- Responsible for Submission of tenders up to $15M

- Reporting directly to Senior Management - Director and CFO

- Confidence in summarising drawings

- Reviewing & analysing subcontractor quotes

- Ability to meet deadlines

- High attention to detail

- Ability to do own measuring and manage external QS if needed





- Experience using CostX or Cubit

- Liaising with subcontractors to attaining accurate pricing

- Methodical and through approach

- Sound fit-out, refurbishment and New Build industry knowledge working for the Head Contractor

- Excellent verbal and written communication skill

Turning over in excess of $40M in NSW, they are best known for the delivery of Commercial & Industrial Facilities which have been self-funded developments on the latter. Working with loyal Clients they have consistent work to be stable and leverage further revenue streams that you will be keen to explore.

Qualifications & Experience

- You will have finished a Bachelor of Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Construction Related Degree

- You will have industry experience working for a recognized Head Contractor in Sydney

- This role is applicable to someone who lives locally, wants to drive a division and work in a good culture with flexibility - they want the right person who will stay long term and will consider an Estimator who has between 3 - 6 years experience and will pay accordingly.

- You will have worked with good construction software
