This business imports, wholesales, and supplies commercial-grade indoor and outdoor furniture across Australia. They specialize in providing both off-the-shelf and custom fit-out solutions tailored for high-traffic environments, focusing heavily on hospitality, dining, entertainment, and accommodation spaces.

Operating out of multiple showrooms and distribution hubs on the East Coast, they assist project managers and business owners with layout planning, project coordination, and technical product sourcing. Their product range spans heavy-duty seating, tables, and bespoke upholstered pieces designed to balance aesthetic appeal with long-term durability.

We are looking for an Estimator to join our Sydney team. This role combines accurate pricing and quoting with on-the-ground support for our local sales team and showroom. You will work closely with sales reps, suppliers, and logistics to ensure costings are correct, margins are protected, and projects run smoothly.

What you will be doing:

- Prepare detailed, accurate quotes for commercial furniture projects, interpreting architectural drawings, design layouts, and technical specifications.

- Calculate margins, domestic and international freight, and local overhead costs to protect profitability.

- Source and evaluate supplier quotes for custom or non-standard items, negotiating lead times and pricing.

- Support the Brisbane and national sales team,



managing customer order updates, quote clarifications, and running local operational errands when needed.

- Maintain accurate product data, pricing structures, and margin models within our CRM and ERP systems.

- Travel occasionally to other states for national team meetings and head office training.

What we are looking for:

- At least 2 years of experience in estimation, quoting, or project pricing, ideally within the furniture, joinery, or commercial interiors industry.

- Strong numerical skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to accurately scale drawings and calculate material quantities.

- Proficiency in Excel (formulas and data analysis) and ERP/CRM systems, with NetSuite experience highly regarded.

- Great communication skills and the confidence to handle phone and face-to-face follow-ups with customers and suppliers.

- A proactive, flexible approach to managing tight project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
