Landscape Estimator

Join the dynamic team at Martin Brothers as a Landscape Estimator in our Brisbane office. In this full time role, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for a wide range of landscaping projects, pricing to win, ensuring the company remains competitive and profitable.

What you'll be doing

1. Analyse project specifications, blueprints, and other relevant documents to determine material, labour, and equipment requirements
2. Prepare detailed cost estimates, including itemised breakdowns of direct and indirect costs
3. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to clarify project requirements and negotiate contract terms
4. Maintain a comprehensive database of supplier and subcontractor information, pricing, and availability
5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and changing regulations that could impact project costs
6. Provide support and advice to the estimating team, sharing your expertise and helping to streamline processes

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a Landscape Estimator or similar role in the construction industry
2.



Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
3. Proficient in the use of Bluebeam and Excel
4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders
5. Degree in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
6. Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and construction practices
