As an EV / Diagnostic Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a range of modern vehicles, including Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid and Electric Vehicles, as well as conventional petrol and diesel vehicles. You will work closely with our Service and Workshop teams to ensure vehicles are diagnosed correctly, repaired efficiently and returned to customers to the highest standard.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out advanced vehicle diagnostics and fault finding
- Diagnose electrical, electronic and mechanical faults
- Perform servicing, repairs and maintenance across Hyundai and Chery vehicles
- Diagnose and work on Hybrid and EV systems
- Use manufacturer diagnostic equipment and technical information
- Perform electrical testing and fault diagnosis
- Identify complex faults and provide accurate repair solutions
- Complete warranty and repair work in accordance with manufacturer requirements
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
- Assist and support other technicians where required
About you
- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
- Robust diagnostic and electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience with modern diagnostic equipment
- Previous experience working with EVs, hybrids or high-voltage systems is highly desirable
- A strong mechanical and technical understanding
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical information
- A current Australian driver's licence
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A professional attitude and commitment to customer satisfaction
