About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Class A and/or B Asbestos Removal Supervisor / Labourer who is comfortable supervising asbestos works while also being actively involved on the tools.

This isn’t a position where you’ll simply stand back and manage a crew. You’ll work alongside the team, helping establish removal areas, undertake asbestos removal, complete decontamination and clean-up, and ensure each project is delivered safely and efficiently.

You’ll work across a variety of projects, including residential and commercial asbestos removal, strip-outs, demolition projects, making this a excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants to develop further within the industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and undertake Class A and/or B asbestos removal works.
- Establish asbestos work areas, exclusion zones, barricades, signage and required controls.
- Carry out the safe removal,



wrapping and preparation of asbestos-containing materials for disposal.
- Undertake HEPA vacuuming, wet wiping, decontamination and detailed cleaning of removal areas.
- Ensure asbestos removal works are completed in accordance with relevant SWMS, asbestos removal control plans and site requirements.
- Correctly use and maintain PPE and respiratory protective equipment.
- Coordinate asbestos removal activities with labourers, subcontractors and other trades on site.
- Complete required asbestos removal, site and waste documentation.
- Maintain clean, organised and professional work areas.
- Assist with demolition, strip-out works when required.
- Lead by example and ensure the team maintains a strong safety culture.

You’ll be comfortable taking responsibility for asbestos removal activities while still working alongside your crew to get the job completed. You should have a strong understanding of asbestos removal procedures and know how to maintain compliance without compromising productivity.

We’re particularly interested in someone who communicates well, takes ownership of their work and can professionally represent the company when dealing with clients, colleagues and other trades.
