Role Summary

Reddam House North Shore proudly stands as a beacon within the Inspired Education Group. As a coâeducational, nonâdenominational institution we empower students to reach their full potential in a nurturing environment. In 2027 we will expand our student body from 850 to 1100, and we are looking for outstanding educators and staff to join our team, including the newly created Secondary Drama Teacher position.

The Secondary Drama Teacher will guide students from Year 7 to Year 12, delivering highâquality instruction in alignment with the NESA curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and challenge all students, aligning with the school's curriculum, policies, and external assessment requirements; individualise and differentiate learning to stretch and support each student.
n
- Regularly assess inâclass and atâhome learning, providing targeted feedback to drive progress and ensure all students are challenged and supported.
n
- Establish a classroom and school environment where students are invested in each other's flourishing, feel valued, and are ready to take risks in learning.
n
- Collaborate closely with colleagues, sharing best practices, contributing to professional development, and supporting the highest standard of education for our students.
n
- Play an active role in the coâcurricular programme, leading clubs or contributing to wholeâschool initiatives to create a wellârounded, enriching educational experience.
n
- Maintain open and constructive communication with parents, building strong partnerships that support students' progress.

- Proven experience teaching at the secondary level with a solid grasp of NESA curriculum requirements.

- Skilled in one or more Key Learning Areas, engaging students across diverse learning needs.

- Strong classroom management focused on fostering a positive, disciplined environment.

- Proficiency in student assessment and progress reporting.
n
- Experience planning and supervising school events and activities.
n
- Competence in using educational technologies and creative teaching strategies to enrich learning.
n

Qualifications

- Bachelor of Education (Secondary) or equivalent teaching qualification.

- Accredited with NESA (NSW Education Standards Authority).

- Valid Working with Children Check.

- Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining NESA accreditation.
n
- Willingness to assist with lunch/playground supervision and student dropâoff/pickâup duties.
n
- Availability to attend school events outside regular hours (e.g., performances, parent meetings).
