Komatsu is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our specialist Remanufacturing team in Hemmant, Queensland.

n

As one of the world's largest manufacturers of construction, mining and utility equipment, Komatsu offers the opportunity to work with genuine OEM products, advanced technology and industry-leading processes. Our Reman team plays a critical role in rebuilding major components and electric motors, helping customers maximise equipment life and performance.

Working in a clean, well-equipped workshop alongside experienced tradespeople, you'll dismantle, inspect, repair and reassemble components to the highest quality standards while contributing to a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Roster: Monday to Friday roster, 6:00am to 3:00pm.

n

Possibility of a 7 on 7 off roster in future.

Hourly Rate: Between $47.79 - $52.48 per hour + Super + Overtime

Role Located: Hemmant, QLD

What you'll be doing

n

n
- Dismantling, inspecting and rebuilding mining equipment components.
n
- Assembling and repairing electric motors.
n
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out quality repairs.
n




- Working to OEM specifications and quality standards.
n
- Supporting apprentices and sharing technical knowledge.
n
- Participating in continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives.
n
- Maintaining Komatsu's industry-leading safety standards.
n

What we're looking for

n

n
- Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification (or equivalent).
n
- Experience working on heavy mobile equipment, mining or industrial machinery.
n
- Experience dismantling and assembling electric motors.
n
- Strong mechanical fault-finding ability.
n
- Commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.
n
- Basic welding experience (desirable).
n
- Current driver's licence.
n
- Computer literacy.
n
