- Initial contract through 30 June 2026, with 2 x extension options each up to 12 months (2.5 year contract)

Opportunity

You will be joining a new digital transformation program, providing architectural leadership across complex initiatives. You will play a critical role in shaping and driving target‐state architectures and guiding implementation.

n

This is a hands‐on Architecture role for professionals who thrive on technical depth, problem‐solving and influencing outcomes at scale, rather than people management or traditional delivery oversight.

n

Your duties will include:

n

n
- Leading the design and direction of cloud (Azure), data, solution or security architectures
n
- Producing high‐level designs, architectural blueprints roadmaps and governance artefacts
n
- Translating complex architectural concepts into explicit, actionable work packages for the team's architects and workload
n
- Represent technical scope of the program to key stakeholders
n
- Actively resolving complex technical challenges across multiple technology domains
n
- Influencing senior stakeholders and shared‐service partners to align architectural outcomes
n




- Working directly with programs to shape target‐state architectures and guide implementation
n
- Executive level reporting, executive briefs and board papers to reflect technical progress
n
- Act as a conduit between Architecture team and the Executive and business sponsors
n

Skills and Experience we are looking for:

n

n
- Lead Architecture background within federal government or large enterprise (not people or project management focused)
n
- Proven experience designing enterprise‐scale cloud, data, solution or security architectures
n
- Strong capability in developing high‐level designs, architectural standards and governance frameworks
n
- Ability to engage hands‐on with complex technical problem‐solving
n
- Experience influencing stakeholders across large, federated or government environments
n
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate architectural direction clearly
n
- You will personally drive architectural outcomes rather than oversee or interpret work created by others - however you will lead technical direction, effort and reporting to the business on progress.
