Executive Assistant (EOA)

Nicolette Boele MP The Office of Nicolette Boele MP is seeking applications for a full-time ongoing Executive Assistant, based in the MP’s electorate office in Lindfield, NSW.

Position Overview

Nicolette Boele is the independent federal MP for the northern Sydney division of Bradfield.

Nicolette was elected in 2025 as a community independent, on a platform of addressing the cost of living, taking meaningful action on climate change, and tackling housing affordability.

The Executive Assistant is a trusted coordination role responsible for protecting the MP’s time, sequencing competing parliamentary and electorate commitments, and ensuring the diary supports the MP’s priorities, obligations and judgement.

Working directly with the MP and reporting to the Electorate Office Manager, this role would suit an experienced executive assistant or diary professional who is politically astute, highly organised and confident weighing competing requests from constituents, community organisations, parliamentary stakeholders and the MP’s team.

Key duties

- Manage and assess competing priorities in relation to the diary across parliamentary, electorate and community commitments, and personal obligations.
- Manage the MP’s diary including, responding to invitations with professionalism, warmth and sound judgement, creating appointments and meetings and managing scheduling conflicts.
- Manage end-to-end travel logistics and file receipts for the MP.
- Coordinate other individuals who may attend events with the MP, such as other staff, volunteers or invited guests.
- Coordinate meeting logistics including meeting attendees, setting up the room and any audio-visual requirements,



and developing briefing material and diary notes so the MP has the information she needs, when she needs it.
- Identify and suggest practical visits, meetings or events in consultation with team members who support the MP’s parliamentary, electorate and community priorities.
- Other reasonable duties as required to support the MP, the MP’s team and the effective operation of the Electorate Office.

Key skills and experience

- Demonstrated experience in executive support, diary management or a comparable administrative role, ideally in a political, government, community or fast-moving office environment.
- Excellent organisational judgement, attention to detail and ability to prioritise competing requests while protecting the MP’s time and commitments.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including confidence and diplomacy liaising with constituents, stakeholders, staff and community organisations.
- Sound knowledge of Australia’s political system and ability to uphold the MP’s values, priorities and community-focused approach.
- High professional integrity, discretion and resilience, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.
- Intermediate to advanced competence with Microsoft 365 and the ability to learn office systems quickly.

Employment conditions: The position is offered under the Members of Parliament (Staff)



Act 1984 and conditions are outlined in the Commonwealth Members of Parliament Staff Enterprise Agreement 2024-27 which include:

- a commencing salary between $77,071and $81,594 negotiated depending on experience and relevant skills.
- an additional optional allowance up to $14,407 which may be considered in recognition of, and as compensation for, reasonable additional hours of work.
- relocation assistance, studies assistance and paid study leave which may also be available (subject to eligibility requirements).
- an employer superannuation contribution of 15.4%.

- The successful applicant may be required to undergo a National Police History Check and a Working with Children Check (NSW).
- Staff may be subject to automatic cessation triggers in accordance with Section 14 of the MOP(S) Act.
- The successful applicant will be required to comply with their obligations under the Commonwealth Parliamentary Workplace Behaviour Codes and Standards.
- This role may require infrequent travel to Canberra, ACT, and also occasional irregular work hours, including after hours and on weekends.
