Initially, the position will be a combination of estimating and quoting residential renovation and building projects, part-time carpentry and hands-on building work, site supervision and coordinating trades, material ordering and scheduling, managing jobs from commencement through to completion, client communication and coordination, general administration and project management, and working directly with the owners to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably. Following a successful qualifying period, the position will transition into a full time Estimator / Site Supervisor / Project Manager role, with significantly greater responsibility for estimating and managing projects from quotation through to completion.

About you
- Qualified and experienced carpenter
- Strong knowledge of residential construction and renovations
- Experience estimating or quoting building work
- Can read plans, understand scopes of work and accurately price projects
- Excellent knowledge of materials, construction methods and subcontractor pricing
- Can confidently supervise trades and coordinate multiple aspects of a project
- Organised, reliable and has strong attention to detail
- Can communicate professionally with clients, trades and suppliers
- Confident using computers and estimating/job management software
- Can work independently while also working closely with the business owners
