About the role

We are seeking an Experienced Gate & Fencing Installer to join our team on a full-time basis at our Yamanto QLD location. This is a key position within our installation team, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality gate and fencing installations to our valued clients. Your expertise and attention to detail will be essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence and ensuring every project is completed to the highest standards.

This hands-on role offers the chance to work on diverse projects whilst contributing to the growth and success of Custom Auto Gates & Fencing.

Key responsibilities

- Install a variety of gates and fencing systems, including automatic gates, sliding gates, swing gates and decorative fencing, to specification and in compliance with industry standards
- Prepare installation sites, including assessing ground conditions, marking out layouts and ensuring all safety protocols are in place before commencing work
- Measure, cut and fit materials with precision to ensure secure and aesthetically pleasing installations




- Operate and maintain specialised installation tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Work collaboratively with team members on multi-person projects to meet project deadlines
- Conduct quality checks throughout the installation process to identify and rectify any issues promptly
- Provide clients with professional guidance and support, addressing any queries or concerns regarding installations
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations on site
- Keep accurate records of completed installations and report any site concerns to management
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in installation techniques and processes

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in gate and fencing installation, demonstrating expertise in a range of systems and materials
- Strong knowledge of industry best practices, building codes and safety standards relevant to gate and fencing work
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools and specialised installation equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Excellent measuring and spatial awareness skills to ensure precision installations
- Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour, including lifting heavy materials and working at heights where necessary




- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to challenging site conditions
- Reliable and punctual with a commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship
- Excellent communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to various job sites
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in building trades would be highly valued
