Located approximately 20km north-east of Nhill in Victoria's Wimmera region, this family-owned farming enterprise operates around 7,000 acres of productive cropping country. The business grows canola, wheat, barley, lentils, oaten hay and vetch for hay, supported by a reliable machinery fleet and practical farming systems. The operation is currently run by the owners alongside one full-time Farm Hand and is entering a busy and exciting period with hay production commencing in September and harvest running through until Christmas.

Reporting directly to the owners, this role would suit someone who enjoys variety in their work, takes pride in machinery and is happy to get involved wherever needed. The position is available immediately, with flexibility around commencement dates.

it provides a relaxed rural lifestyle while still having access to major regional centres.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

- Operate farm machinery including balers, chaser bins, tractors and harvest equipment.

- Complete truck driving duties (if appropriately licenced) including grain, hay and fertiliser transport within approximately a 400km radius.

- Assist with hay production including baling, handling and stacking hay in sheds.

- Carry out general workshop duties including machinery maintenance, repairs, welding and fabrication.

Selection Criteria:

- Previous experience operating broadacre cropping machinery.

- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to service and maintain equipment.

- Welding, fabrication or engineering skills highly regarded.

- MC Licence highly advantageous but not essential for the right applicant.

Additional Particulars:

- Full-time position available with immediate start; short-term harvest applicants will also be considered.

- Accommodation is not available on farm, however accommodation in Nhill may be sourced for the right candidate.

- Remuneration package to be negotiated based on experience, skills and licence qualifications.
