Key Responsibilities

- Conduct pre‑clearance fauna habitat surveys and assessments
- Undertake targeted presence/absence searches for priority species
- Supervise vegetation clearing in line with regulatory requirements
- Safely and ethically identify, capture, handle, and relocate fauna
- Assist with terrestrial and aquatic fauna management activities
- Develop and implement nest box plans, including installation and monitoring
- Accurately record,



process, and report field data
- Maintain strict adherence to protected work practices and environmental protocols

Desirable Skills & Qualifications
- Experience as a fauna spotter–catcher or equivalent role in Queensland
- Strong fauna identification and handling skills
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Competence with computers and data entry
- Demonstrated initiative, reliability, and safe work practices
- Construction White Card
- Venomous snake handling certification and/or demonstrated experience
- Current First Aid certificate
- Full Australian driver’s licence
- Residence within Greater Brisbane or the Gold Coast region
