Reporting directly to the CFO, this role sits at the centre of the finance function, with genuine exposure to senior-level reporting and the technical rigour that comes with it.
This is a technically strong role for someone who wants to bring Big 4 or mid-tier trained discipline into a fast-moving business, owning the numbers with precision and building the control environment around them.
The Role
- Own the month-end close and management reporting suite, ensuring technical accuracy and timely delivery to the CFO and leadership team
- Manage statutory reporting and year-end financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Act as the key point of contact for external auditors, managing the annual audit process end to end
- Maintain and strengthen the internal control environment,
identifying and remediating control gaps
- Ensure balance sheet integrity through robust reconciliation and review processes
- Lead continuous improvement of reporting processes and systems to strengthen accuracy, efficiency and governance
- Support the CFO on technical accounting matters and ad hoc reporting requirements
About You
- CA qualified, ideally with your foundations in a mid-tier or Big 4 audit firm before transitioning into industry
- Strong technical grounding in financial accounting, statutory reporting and internal controls
- Manufacturing, industrial or another operational environment highly regarded
- Comfortable operating close to the CFO, with solid attention to detail and technical rigour
- Advanced Excel skills and strong financial systems capability
