Industry leader within WA, they are in a growth phase and seeking an Accountant to take the business to the next level from a financial reporting perspective.
About the Role
Seeking an experienced and hands-on Accountant to manage the end-to-end finance function for the business. This role will suit someone who is equally comfortable with day-to-day bookkeeping as they are with high-level financial strategy.
While strong financial strategy skills are essential, this position is ideal for an ambitious, qualified individual looking for a step up in responsibilities, covering tax returns, payroll processing etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct all bookkeeping duties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyse monthly management reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial statements.
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including BAS, taxation, superannuation, and audit obligations.
- Implement and monitor internal controls and cost-saving measures.
- Liaise with external auditors, accountants, and key stakeholders.
- Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making across the hospitality group.
About You
- Degree qualified (CPA or CA qualification highly desirable).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a bookkeeping or accountant role in commercial workplace.
- Strong working knowledge of Xero (multi-entity experience preferred).
- Proven ability to manage both transactional bookkeeping and high-level reporting.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Flexible and adaptable to working in a business with seasonal operations and remote locations.
