6-Month Financial Controller | Perth CBD | Mining An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller to join a growing mining organisation during a pivotal stage of its growth journey. Based in Perth CBD, this role offers the chance to partner closely with senior leadership while supporting a complex and internationally focused business.
This is a highly visible position with broad responsibility across financial reporting, governance, treasury, compliance and financial control. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial information while supporting the business as it continues to expand its global operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead annual and interim financial reporting processes
Manage group consolidations across multiple entities and jurisdictions
Oversee technical accounting matters and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards
Support the preparation of board, Audit & Risk Committee and executive reporting
Coordinate external audit requirements and stakeholder engagement
Drive continuous improvement across financial controls, governance and compliance frameworks
Manage treasury activities including cashflow forecasting and funding requirements
Provide financial insights and support to senior leadership and key business stakeholders
Support strategic projects, business initiatives and organisational growth
You will bring:
Proven experience in a Financial Controller, Group Financial Controller, Financial Reporting Manager or similar leadership position
Strong technical accounting expertise and annual reporting experience
Hands-on experience with group consolidations
Exposure to multinational or globally operating organisations
Strong understanding of governance, risk, compliance and financial controls
Experience working within mining, resources, energy, industrial or listed company environments
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills A proactive, commercially minded and solutions-focused approach
