Guardian Service & Maintenance is looking for an experienced Portable Fire Equipment Technician to join our growing service team.

This is a full-time field-based role carrying out routine inspection, testing and servicing of portable fire equipment across commercial, residential and industrial sites throughout Sydney and surrounding areas.

About the Role

Your day-to-day duties will include:

- Inspection, testing and servicing of portable fire equipment
- Fire extinguishers, fire blankets and fire hose reels
- Completing scheduled routine maintenance in accordance with relevant Australian Standards
- Identifying and reporting defects
- Completing service reports and documentation accurately
- Managing an allocated daily run of sites
- Liaising professionally with clients, building managers and site contacts
- Ensuring works are completed safely and efficiently

About You

We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience servicing portable fire equipment
- Has a good understanding of AS 1851
- Can work independently and manage their own daily workload
- Is reliable, organised and punctual




- Takes pride in completing paperwork and service reports correctly
- Has strong communication and customer service skills
- Is comfortable using mobile apps (Uptick) and electronic service reporting
- Holds a current Australian driver's licence
