Centre Director – Early Childhood Education

About the Role
n
As Centre Director, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, operations, and success of the service. Working closely with educators, families, and stakeholders, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality educational programs while maintaining strong compliance, team engagement, and financial performance.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Provide strong leadership and direction to the centre team.
n
Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive workplace culture.
n
Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning initiatives.
n
Support and mentor educators to achieve qualified growth and excellence.
n
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and quality frameworks, including NQS, EYLF, and applicable state-based requirements.
n
Oversee centre operations, budgets, staffing, and agency expenditure.
n
Manage workforce planning and rostering to support operational efficiency.
n
Build strong relationships with children, families, team members, and the local community.
n
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high-quality standards across all aspects of the service.
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role,
you will bring:
n
Previous experience as a Centre Director or in a senior leadership position within early childhood education.
n
Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
n
Strong leadership, coaching, and people-development skills.
n
Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework and relevant legislation.
n
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
n
A genuine passion for delivering high-quality outcomes for children, families, and educators.
n
Current Working with Children Check (or state equivalent).
n
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain).
n
Child Safety training or willingness to complete.
n
