Capable and experienced fitter/welder with TIG welding experience required to join a Government department, working in their rail equipment maintenance workshop at Homebush.
A start of work ASAP is required, with an initial period of 6 months being offered - with potential to extend for further work for the right person.
You will carry out a variety of routine and repetitive physical tasks using hand and power tools. These tasks include, but not limited to, general welding and metal fabrication work for maintenance jobs on rail equipment and infrastructure either as an individual or as part of a team.
This role will involve working full time hours of work on a Monday to Friday basis, with a monthly rostered day off.
Successful Applicants will need;
Trade qualifications and experience in welding and/or metal fabrication
At least 12 months experience in welding or metal fabrication work
Current WHS White Card - essential
Unrestricted and unencumbered NSW driver licence essential
Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Card
Positive all round fitness for manual work tasks
Previous experience with rail equipment construction / maintenance will be highly regarded
