Role Description The Food and Beverage Attendant is a Casual position, on-site role based at The Benson Hotel in Cairns, QLD. Depending on the candidates availability, more permanent positions will be offered. We have shifts available for a confident and engaging bar tender, with skills that ensure great guest experiences, cocktail experience is preferred. Additionally we have a position on our hotel breakfast team.

Responsibilities include handling payments, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards. The attendant will work closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams to support smooth service,



respond to guest requests, and uphold hotel policies and safety practices. Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings, is required to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

- Solid Food & Beverage and Food Service skills, with experience in a restaurant, bar, or hotel environment.
- Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse guests.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment, with reliability and a positive attitude.
- Basic math and point-of-sale (POS) skills, with accurate cash handling and order processing.
- Availability to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Previous experience in hospitality or hotel operations is preferred but not mandatory.
- Relevant certifications such as RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) and food safety training are an advantage.
